300SL Headliner replacement
My 1993 300SL headliner is starting to sag.
Any info on the "how to steps" to replace it? Any sources for the headliner other than the dealer? Thanx, Al

Depends on how exact you want to be. Do you mean just buying the material or....?
You could ask the dealer who they use for things like seat repair or soft top replacement (chances are they farm this type of work out, just like body work), then visit the shop and ask what they'd recommend. If you aren't worried about "concours correct" the trim shop will likely have there own sources for material. If you despise the dealer (don't want to even ask them), just look in the yellow pages for auto trim shops.

my sl did the same thing it only gets worst, until the whole thing starts to fall, I had to have a local guy remove the old and re-glue a new piece of cloth.

Make sure it's not sagging because of a leaking hydraulic top cylinder. It would be a shame to lose a second headliner.
