High Voltage at ICV?

I have just pulled my 1982 380SL out from winter storage and all of a sudden have high idle at 1250 RPMS. It was running perfectly when it went into to storage. I have reviewed the manual and followed the instructions to test the Idle Speed Adjuster, etc., and when testing the voltage at the IVC I’m getting 12 to 13 volts when the manual says 5 volts +-. Disconnecting the wiring harness from the IVC has no effect at all. The manual gives instructions for no voltage, but nothing about high voltage. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Smile No voltage AT ICV

I'm sorry I can't solve your problem, but hope you may be able to solve mine. I have a 1986 560sl and I record NO voltage at the ICV. I don't have a manual and thought that maybe you could let me know what your manual says about no voltage. Thanks for any help and good luck in solving your problem.

Vista,

PM me an e-mail address and I will send you that section of the manual for your year in a PDF.
