Anybody know what could be causing this sound?

Anybody know what could be causing this sound? Bad steering box? I checked the steering coupler it looked fine.

could be cracked steering couplers.

Do you have a lot of "play" in your steering? Does it seem to take quite a bit of turning before you can start to actually get it to change direction? If so, the problem should be your steering coupler. The part is not insanely expensive. but the job to replace it is.

You have to ask yourself: Exactly HOW much of a masochist am I?

If the answer is A REALLY big one, then you are ready to contemplate undertaking this job. Look around, use the search function, and you will find chronicles of those that have trod this path.
