Anyone in the Orange, CA area who'd be willing to check over a car before I buy it?

I'm considering a 77' 450SL being sold at auction. From what I can tell it's in decent shape and the seller has a good reputation, but I'm still a bit anxious bidding on a car on the other side of the country! Especially since it doesn't run... It sounds like the fuel pump is the problem but it could of course be anything.

I'm really interested in finding an SL to make into a new project and I don't mind a few issues but if anyone nearby could give the car a quick look I'd really appreciate it.
