Idiot light

Just picked up an 87 560SL. If I drive down a bumpy road the SLS light flickers. What would cause this?

with the age of these cars. i would check the fuses and then check the control module connections. (unplug - replug) it might just be a loose or corroded connection. i have found this solves some of these types of issues.

i've also had to replace amny of the modules due to failed soldering.

as always do the work with the battery disconnected.
