Euro warning triangle in trunk
I have one of those removable red reflective warning triangles from my old euro 123 ( RIP) that was attached to the underside of the trunk lid.
i thought I could attach to my euro 107, but there are no attachment points on the 107 trunk lid interior. I wonder why? Was the safety triangle an option? I have seen on many euro MB's. I presume the attachment hardware is unavailable. Any ideas short of duct tape ? thanks jz |

Pretty sure it was standard equipment on the Euro 107. There is no description of how or where to display it in the owners manual I have.

Adhesive backed Velcro joiner tape works well on many light weight things. Get small packets at the hardware store.

I believe the Euro 107 came with a foldable warning triangle that was stowed into a plastic, yellow container. It looks similar to this.

Wow the fold up type in euro 107's , but trunk lid type in euro 123's. I would have never guessed.
I have to wonder why MB would vary the triangle placement between different model cars in the same year? Trunk strength/layout ? Certainly the trunk lid location is superior because the safety triangle is immediately visible just by opening the trunk lid. I will explore the velcro method. I hope the triangle isn't too heavy. Gentlemen thanks for your input on this very important subject !!! |

It is pretty heavy. Made to be placed on the ground. Doubt the torsion bars on the read lid will support it.
