Soft top boot cover seal

280SL R107, 1981 year: I am seeing that almost everyone recommends using the original MB seal instead of the URO. I will not use the URo but I did notice one individual that suggested K&K Manufacturing up in Sparta, MI. Their seal is $40.00. Will that seal fit like the MB part which is over $200.00? Also, I see that some people recommend using glue, others say no glue is needed if installed correctly. Thanks SL guys. Ron

What brand is the K&K seal? At $40.00 I suspect it is URO. Possibly APA but APA and URO are the same company.

I called K&K. The replacement seal is URO as you suspected. They want $282.00 for the original type. Can you recommend any sources that may get me one for less than $282.00? That seems extremely high to me, I don't mind paying $150.00 or so if that is available. Also, will I need a glue or can this seal merely be just placed in? Thanks.
