r12 refrigerant replacement
No cold air
R12 is obsolete but amazon will sell 134a which it says is a substitute for r12 Can I use this without modifying my existing a/c compressor? Thanks Dan |

What car? Search the forum. There are many threads and posts on this subject. You will not be happy with 134a probably. Use Freon.

If it is a w123 car the ONLY way, in my opinion, to build a reliable r134 a/c system that will work in this part of the world is to do the following: install parallel flow condenser, make sure the fan works and the Sanden compressor.

IMHO no matter what you are driving - you have to rebuild if you want to do it right, some will disagree but ...

You could also try ES12. Works better than r134 but not as well as r12 in a completely stock system.
