Judging from the hydraulic fluid stain on my left knee I'd say that article might already be in the works! :/

Welcome to the forum sutliffe. It would help the moderators and contributors fix this situation if you would identify and list the specific article(s) that need to be corrected, or reinstalled. Thanks for pointing out the issue.

Whoops! We've been moving some of our tech articles around recently and I didn't update the links on my post above- they should all be working properly now. Sorry about that!

Wink POWER STEERING OIL ADDITION PORT?

THIS IS A VERY GOOD COVERAGE OF THE SL, BUT NOWHERE DOES IT SHOW THE PSTG
INPUT PORT, WHERE DEXTRON2 IS ADDED TO KEEP UP THE FLUID LEVEL. ON MOST CARS,
THIS IS AN OBVIOUS LOCATION NEAR THE POWER STEERING PUMP, BUT NOT ON THE SL

PLEASE ADD A DESCRIPTION OF THIS MAINTENANCE LOCATION TO TECH ARTICLES (I HAVE A 95 500SL)

R129 Power Seat Moves On It's Own:

Happily retired, and living in high altitude obscurity, and playing music full time, I occasionally help a few SoCal shops with very strange technical problems, mostly on Ferrari and Lamborghini...although I do not officially advertise these services.

Recently, I received a referral regarding a SoCal MBZ Independent for assistance on a 1995 SL600 that had been worked on by several area shops without success.

I decided to post the data from this repair in hopes it may help someone.

VEHICLE: 1995 SL600

SYMPTOMOLOGY: DRIVER'S POWER SEAT MOVES FORWARD/TILTS FORWARD ON ITS OWN WHEN IGNITION IS TURNED ON AND DOOR IS CLOSED AND DOES NOT STOP.

BACKGROUND: (5) DIFFERENT SOCAL MBZ SHOPS HAVE ATTEMPTED REPAIRS UNSUCCESSFULLY - DISCONNECTING POWER SEAT SWITCH HAS NO EFFECT.

REPAIR HISTORY: POWER SEAT SWITCH AND POWER SEAT CONTROL UNIT RECENTLY REPLACED WITH BRAND NEW MBZ COMPONENTS - NO CHANGE.

TECHNICIAN'S FINDINGS: REMOVE SEAT FOR TESTING. CONDUCT PIN-BY-PIN TESTING. DISCOVERED FAILED SEAT BACKREST RELAY MODULE (DRIVER'S SIDE) PART # 129 821 00 47.

ACTION TAKEN: REPLACED MODULE # A 129 821 00 47. SEAT NOW FUNCTIONS NORMALLY. ALL THREE MEMORY PRESETS CAN NOW BE PROGRAMMED.

TOTAL TIME CHARGED: 5 Hours

Is it possible to have an article that addresses how to access the Climate
Control Console diagnostic codes and what they mean. I have a 1998 SL 500. I believe that it is the same console used in many C-series and possibly
others. Thanks very much.

Ignition Switch Wiring R129 1995

Just bought a stolen recovered 1995 SL500. The ignition switch has been pulled out and I need to know where the pictured loose wires go on a new switch. Does anyone have any information on this?

I second this. This would have wide ranging effect as this climate control system was used in C and E class as well, for several years.
