weight of 280 sl vs 380 sl

For excitement I was leafing thru my 1983 280 SL owners manual the other day. Regarding vehicle weight for the 280 sl was 2998 lbs while the weight of the 380 sl was listed at 3500 lbs.
I was surprised because I thought the 380 sl weighed a lot more then the 280 sl- not just 102 lbs more.
These weights were shown for the euro 107's.
I wonder what a US 380 sl weighs? Those US crash bumpers alone have to weight 100 lbs more!
Could someone check their US owners manual.
thanks
jz

Sorry Frank. My bad.
I mixed up the numbers.
My 67 250 sl weighs 2998 lbs. ( that's the incorrect number I used for the 280 sl)

My 83 280 sl weighs 3395 lbs.
An 83 euro 380 sl weighs 3500 lbs.
There is the 105 lb difference which I though would be greater, at least a few hundred pounds.
Could someone pls check the listed weight of their US 380 sl.

The 113 is a light weight that I can really throw around curves at speed that I wouldn't even consider with my 107.

M110 is not a light motor at all. A lot of peie prefer the M130 SOHC motor because it is lighter and less complex and makes almost the same power.

All 107s beginning late '70's or early '80s have aluminum hoods. Can't remember when the change was off hand.
