R129 Sun Visor Bolt Cover Part #'s

In case you are looking for them, here are the part numbers for that plastic, corner bolt cover for the sun visors, per my local MBZ dealer. They are still available, but at a very proud price- ouch, $61 each!

Pass: 12981104619045 $61
Driver: 12981103619045 $61 (last 4 numbers are color code, 5070 for tan)

Something to know about these covers, the sunvisor mount becomes loose allowing the stem to strike the cover breaking it off.

Mine are broken, I'm real tempted to make a set from 1/8" thick rubber to allow for flexing.

Makes sense to me, too. Let me know if you do. I think you'll have to figure out the color match issue. In the meantime, I'll think I'll slightly enlarge the opening to give it some room, as well as, put some blue thread locker to keep the visor from moving.

Thanks.

My interior is black so black rubber would work.

My thought would be to cut a rubber washer and stuff it behind the trim rather than the plastic cover that fits in a well.
