Okay thanks Rowdie

As I mentioned, I've disconnected the major components on the he #12 circuit. The problem still persist. I think it may be a short.

Ron, With fuse #12 removed you should NOT have turn signals, clock, trunk lamp, hazard lamps and a couple of other devices, but these are the easiest to check. The schematic does not show fuse #12 powers the radio. I have an 87 also I will try and look tomorrow.

6. Automatic antenna
7. Electronic radio
8. Trailer turn signal control unit

I'm not sure what #5 is?

I also notice this item in the picture hanging out in the dash behind the glove box a little toward the center vents, and connected to nothing. Does anyone know what it is? What should it be connect to?

Thanks

Ron

Ron,
Not much to report. Your question about "Monitor term 5" is the warning module terminal #5 and has+12vdc from fuse #12. I assume your dome and foot well lights don't work. Possibly one of the wires to those lights are shorting to ground, the car body. Maybe even a wire on the door light switches have come loose and is touching the body (I'm talking about the black plunger switches by the door hinge, they just pop out. I had a bad one, but the fuse wasn't blowing. Electrical problem are a bear. Still looking.

My sun visors are missing, I'm wondering if there is a wire loose that runs to them?

Thanks for all of your help. And the dome and foot well lights are not on either.

There are wires in the molding that have the "roof lights". I took mine apart one day and caused a momentary short. As you know the fuse that keeps blowing powers those lights.
