1991 300SL carpet solution?

I have the crème/beige interior which is nice and cool in the sun, but hell to keep looking clean, especially the floor carpet. I've decided to go with black floor carpet mat to coordinate with my black soft top and dash. I've found though that any floor mat I've used seems to get snagged by the sliding frame when the seats move forward.

Anyone have a solution?
