300SL Door Locks & Keyless NOT FUNCTIONING

HELP! Last night, as I attempted to roll up my windows with the keyless remote (by locking the doors) I noticed the red blinking lights KEPT blinking...no windows rolled up...Well, today, upon arriving at work I tried locking the doors and I got NO response at all...after tinkering I settled with manually locking at the trunk...but then when I tried to unlock I get nothing....not even the blinking indicators on the car. AND I have that common problem of the key itself not working in the locks. Should I call a locksmith??? I am stranded and can't get in the car! (Please edit this as you see fit) Oh, my remote "works"....I get the red LED indicating it is working. Thanks for any advice.
S.

Exclamation update

ok. I managed to enter the SL. Don't ask how....but I got in. The fuse in the trunk has been replaced, but the locks still do not engage. manually flipping the thumb levers grudgingly locks driver door. Passenger door is a bit more free to travel. Still no Vacuum sounds that usually accompany locking/unlocking. So for now, I have no locks. I almost wish this car on the thieves...ALMOST.

Get diagnostic codes from Pin 11

This is the first task in a step by step procedure as outlined in my diagnostics manual.
