Brakes 560SL
Does anyone have a recent estimate on front brake pads and roter replacement?
As well, what have you used that produces less brake dust? Am I correct in requiring totally ceramic pads? How do you check sensors? I am getting a brake replace flashing light intermittantly. How do I know if I need fronts or backs or just 1 or more sensors. As far as Roters are concerned, what is the best brand that many of you are pleased? Thanks in advance for your help.

Be sure to replace the hub seals and regrease the bearings at the same time. If the bearings have high miles or the grease is very dry, replace the bearings as they are inexpensive common parts. Avoid any bearing that is made in China.
Less dust usually = hard lining and that = noise. I use Kleen Wheels on my 97 SL320 and 97 C280. The inserts are selected by wheel type not just car. I may have a set to fit your car but would need to get the # then ref to the wheels on your car. |

Zimmerman Z coated rotors with ceramic discs will eliminate the dust. I do not hav any noise and they stop the car in fantastic fashion, I use akebono ceramics. The sensors will come with good set of pads, if you skimp , you will not be satisfied
A set of rotors and pads as above all around approx $400
