Need R107 Clock
First post here. 1986 560SL I replaced the capacitors, diode checked spot on at 120, coil checked ok, circuit board checked ok. I also took it to two different friends that have a back ground in electronics and both couldn't understand why it won't work. So would anyone know if another car uses a clock that will work in a 1986 R107 car? Or know where I can find a good used one? Thanks!

The 450SELs use the same clock. You can test them with a 9volt battery. I picked one up at my local pick a part for 10 bucks.

Any shop specialising in Mercedes/European cars frequently buys wrecks and relics for parts. I bought my clock - which on my Euro 280SL is enclosed in the tac - from our local guy, unfortunately not for $10.0 though!
