Nardi adapter on 1977 450 SLC

I had to go to a shop to get the 22 mm nut off my 1977 450 SLC, so I can put a Nardi steering wheel on it.

One hour after taking off the old wheel the adapter arrived, the "new" universal adapter doesn't come with instructions, unlike the old 3320 adapter this one has an additional plate with two contact brass circular strips.

From the bottom of this extra plate are two contact wires. It looks like I need to pull out the two MB contacts.

Has anyone done this using the new 2802 adapter and any tips?

The install should be the same. The brass slip rings make contact with the brushes inside the column and the wires go to the horn button.

Unless I'm missing something.

Also make sure you have a two contact horn button.

Just the opposite the plate with the dual copper tracks goes against the bottom of the adapter. Two wires goes to the original contact brushes. Photo will come soon.

I got a 5/8 ID washer, it is enough to keep the adapter from locking up on the steering assembly. Washer was just a little thicker than the washer that was under the 22 MM nut on the original steering wheel.

Not sure if I will be using the washer or if I will cut the skirt of the adapter.
