turn signals DON'T WORK (450sl)

I installed a radio and speakers, they work fine I did'nt disturb any lighting wires. I checked the Chiltons manual which directs you to blown fuse or bad turn signal flasher. Ilocated the hazard
flasher but not the turn signal flasher ,I also don't see any blown fuse. Can anyone help?

No problem I have done it twice to myself. Lift the back edge of the console slightly and you will probably find the hazard switch unpluged. Also I am preety sure that one flasher handles both duties.

Just turn the hazard flasher on/off a couple of times and see if this clears the problem. I've encountered the same thing when getting under the shifter and this has fixed it each time.

It does sound like the hazard flasher. If you still need check the turn signal flasher though, it is right behind the instrument console. Remove the steering wheel, and the console will pop out when you pull it - it's only held in by a gasket. (Be careful of the oil pressure cable and speedometer cable). The turn signal flasher is toward the right/middle.

Good Luck.
