Cool jacobs omni pack

Has any one purchased the Jacob's ignition omni pack for thier 107? This is available through performance products catalog. If you have, did you notice any improvement?

Well, for what it's worth,

My dad swore by the Jacobs products and put them on all his cars - Cadillacs, Chevrolets and Buicks.

He was very happy with the performance, but I can't comment how it works on a 4.5.

I put one on a 1991 300E. It really made a big seat of the pants improvement in throttle response and a measureable decrease in emmisions. The trade-off was that I had to purchase the Jacobs spark plug wires to handle the high load (my OEM wires would start popping off the spark plugs every 500 miles). The 8mm wires fixed that. It also seemed to eat up rotor caps at the rate of one per 20,000 miles. I considered it worth it.

Question

I don't understand how your wires popped off. Did they completely disconnect from the spark plug ? How would different wires remedy this?
