Doors closes-power seats dont work

I have a 1991 300sl (r129) Love the car but wierd stuff is happening. The power seat and power rear view mirrors stopped working until you open either door, then they work fine. What can it be? I looked at all of the fuse boxes and didnt see a problem. Please Help.

I dont know he exact answer - but the system is designed that they can be operated with just the door open - therfore there are 2 feeds to the seats - one with ign on and one with it off!

I too had a similar problem with my '93 129. I could'nt find myself. Circuitry is too complex. My dealer replaced a switch under the drivers seat. Problem fixed.

i actually found the problem after searching links. a blown fuse i think if i can remember it was under the hood.
