Bad Hot Start Problem---Solved
Thanks to all who gave advise regarding the slow "cranky'
start problem I was having with my 79 450 SLC. It turned out to be the Accumulator. I also, in the process of finding the problem, replaced the fuel pump which also turned out to be bad. Thanks again for your help. Lee 79 450 SLC love the way this car handles) 79 450 SL (sold) 88 Lincoln TownCar (its a beauty)

I also had sprung a leak in the radiator and had it repaired. This partially reduced my running tempurature. BUT!!! I can not believe how small this radiator is. Its no wonder that these cars tend to run hot, especially in heavy traffic and at higher speeds. The one that I had in Phoenix (79 450 SL) I almost had to park in the summer.
