1991 300SL Little Knob just to the Left of the Shifter

can anyone please let me know what the purpose of that little knob to the left of the Shifter on the 1991 300SL M-Benz?

I believe you are refering to the rear view mirror adjustment knob. The rear view mirror is adjusted electronically. I would go look in my car, but it is under cover and don't want to pull it back tonight. I will check on it tomorrow after work.

Yes. No Doubt, the rear view mirror. BTW. It has a memory that goes along with the seat memory. There are 3 different seat positions and matching mirror positions stored and selected by the buttons on the driver side door. Tod

If you haven't already discovered, when the knob is oriented in the center position, the adjustment is for the overhead rearview mirror. So stop grabbing the mirror to adjust it by hand!
