Have been driving with the new rims for a couple of days, very very smooth. I was quite pleased with the ride, it is just a tiny bit more rough than with the 16" wheels.

Highly recommended!!

SpineDoc:

How do you like the wheels? Do you notice a difference in the ride quality?

dsimonl I was VERY hesitant to go 18", fearing a decline in ride quality. I finally took the plunge and do NOT regret it. The car rides just a touch rougher and stiffer, but WOW the turns and handling are amazing.

I would recommend FACTORY 18" with no hesitation whatsoever. My 1991 has aftermarket 18" and I see a HUGE difference. Don't think you are smarter than AMG, go with the OEM.

Looks the business! Hard work to keep chromes clean? It's 9.20pm here and I'm off to wash the bloody thing!

JJ, honestly I think chrome is MUCH much easier to keep clean. Couple of wipes and some wax and they are good to go.
