Fuse Listing For '86 560 SL

The interior lights on the driver's side of my '86 560 sl are not working. It seems no current is getting there. Are there two fuses that control each side? Also I am missing the fuse diagram from the cover of the fuse panel. Can anyone give me a list as to what fuse contols what. Thanks I appreciate any help.

pop out the right side windscreen lamp and see if there is a loose connector there for a wire going to the left side lamp. I seem to recall that there was a junction there.

Would you know the location of that fuse? I'd have to pull them all, as I do not have the fuse location chart. Thanks for your help.

I'm almost sure that the two lights in the windshield header are on the same circuit. If one is working and the other isn't, you've either got a bulb out, a broken fixture, or a wiring problem that doesn't result in a blown fuse.

If no one has posted the fuse positions by tomorrow morning, I'll do it.

Here's the fuse designations for an '88 560SL, should be the same as your '86.

#1-8A cigar lighter, glove compartment light, radio (16A - seat heating front)

#2-16A windshieldwiper and washer pump, optical horn (what?)

#3-16A window lift front right

#4-16A window lift front left

#5-8A electric bulb control unit, stop-turn signal lamp, instrument cluster, tachometer, cruise control, relay window lift term. 86.

#6-16A blower motor, air condition compressor, switch-over valve idle stabilization

#7-8A climate control system, water pump, heating water valve, back-up lamp, warning monitor term. .8, relay auxiliary fan term. 86. autom. transmission electrics, outside temperature gauge, heating system for washer jets, air injection

#8-8A horn, adjustable, heated outside mirrors

#9 Empty

#10-16A heated rear window

#11-8A central locking system

#12-8A diagnostic, clock, trunk light, roof light, entrance light, hazard warning system, warning monitor term. 5. autom. antenna, electron, radio (trailer turn signal control unit)

#13-8A parking/tail light right, warning buzzer, illumination: license plate, instrument, control elements

#14-16A auxiliary fan

#15 Empty

#16-8A parking/tail light left

#17-8A high beam right
