1973 450SL - How much in the UK?

Hi Folks,
I'm looking to sell a 1973 450SL, but I don't know how much to ask. I've looked in Parkers and the range is 6,000 - 12,000 GBP but how can I decide what condition the car is in and consequently what to ask for it?
I paid 8,000 three years ago, its got a little rust under the ends of the sills, wings etc and the rubber is missing from the front of the hard top, apart from that its fairly sound and has done 149000 miles.

They tend to be fairly low rent below GBP8k. Yours sounds better, although not quite perfect. A really good one even of that age will fetch up to 12k, Parkers is right. I'd try for 10 and take 8 to 9 depending on how much you need the cash.

How is the soft top? Does the hard top match? What colour is it? Wheels? How original is it? Any non-stock add-ons and cosmetics will devalue it.
