107 security?
Could you give me some advice about how you ensure the security of your roadster when you park it out in the public domain particularly when you're using the convertible top ( either up or down).
I have seen several owners use "the claw" and maybe there are no alternatives. What do you suggest? |

I have thought about this a lot also. I guess it would be better to leave the doors unlocked when the softtop is on, just not to get it torn. I have also been thinking on making a hidden button to break the contact for the ground wire of the fuel pump. At least the car could not get started this way. The steering wheel lock is allways good.

security for 107's
An ignition cutout is a basic reqirement. You have on most 107's the stock steering wheel lock, and the Club aftermarket, thats about it. If they want your car they will tow it away! (happened t my 1967 Mustang. Good luck! Abe G

Thanks Abe and Tomi
Abe, what is the ignition cutout? The Club I know is an option but it sure is ugly. |

security for 107's
Any decent alarm set up includes an ignition cutout. You can get these professionally installed or diy if real handy. The ignition key (an another switch usually on steering column) when set turns on alarm and disables the starting system. This is your first security requirement. Then anything you add (a club is very good deterrent) is a hoped for extra. Good luck,, Abe G
