96 SL320 top light on roll bar lite on -top not working - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

I have an SL that has the top light illuminated continuosly, roll bar switch is illuminated and the roll bar yellow indicator in the cluster is on. All this worked last year but has not since I got it out the past week. We had to manually remove the hard top. The soft top at this point doesn't activate. What procedures do I need to perform at this point. I have read a previous post about resetting the system but it referred to an older model. Any information provided would be very much appreciated. Is there a way to decode without using the dealer? I live 125 miles from the dealer that is savvy to these autos and presently have a car that has no top!
