Black Beauty almost left me stranded
I left work and drove about a mile down to the Standard Station for a cold Soda for the ride home. She fired up like normal when I left work. I shut her down and went in for a couple of minutes came out and she would not start. Shed turn over fine but no cylinders popping or anything its as if I pulled the coil wire.after about a half an hour of cranking it every few minutes I dribbled a little fuel down the intake she hit on the first tap off the key. I am going to replace the fuel filter, I have a New relay I could install but I dont think that the problem. it was about 78 out side and BlackBeauty was parked out in the hot sun allday so I dont think it was the cold start. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Steve - while I'm sure that you know BlackBeauty intimatley, I for one, haven't got a clue as to what MAKE, MODEL or MODEL YEAR you're talking about... that kind of info would be useful in guessing at the no start problem. :)

It could be that the fuel pressure is leaking down and you're experiencing vapor lock. The only real way to check for this is to attach a fuel pressure gauge.
A common cause for this is a defective fuel accumulator, part of the fuel pump assembly, but it could be a number of things causing this. |
I am replacing the Fuel pump relay today. I will check on the accumulator. I do sell a number of the for the 911 hadnt thought about it going bad. steve
