Will those blue/white xenon headlight bulbs damage any wiring?

I have a 95 Sl with the regular halogen headlights. Was thinking of putting in those blue/white xenon gas filled bulbs that give a whiter light. But I heard that they can be very hot and damage wiring. Any truth to this?

As long as the wattage matches your current bulbs, you should be okay.

I would suspect you would take out a fuse before you fry the wiring though.

Although expensive, ($1100+) the hot tip would be to go for the HID kit, which comes with the ballast resistors and the headlight assemblies from the later model R129s.
