I have a 73 450 sl. I think it's great. It has the european bumpers, and I put in the european headlights, so it looks like how the car was designed to look. Also no catalytic converter. I think the 73 is supposed to be one of the most desirable 450 years for these reasons.
One advantage to the 450's over the 560's, to my understanding, is that the 450's have the indestructable cast iron engine blocks, while the 560's have aluminum alloy. In the event of repairs, I think it can be very much more expensive to repair the 560 engines. |
