My 87 560 was very well maintained before I bought it,I got service records with the car. The tires appear to be recent puchase michelins. I had a mb mechanic look at every nook and cranny of this car. It took him 2 hours. I'm hopefull that the 18500 That I paid was in fact reasonable. This is the car that my wife has wanted since her high school days,we love it. It's lots of fun.
In regards to insurance, I could not find an insurance co. that would sell me antique auto ins. because the car is only 17 years old. Since the car is stored away for the winter I cancelled most of the ins. coverage except for fire, theft. I'll increase the ins. back yo full coverage in April. |

Well bought! These cars seem to be gradually appreciating and there are a lot on the market with your mileage in the $20K range.
One thing I would caution you is to replace the tires before you really start driving it. The consensus is that tires are good for a maximum of seven or eight years regardless of mileage. With age, tires lose the stopping and cornering capabilities that your fine car requires.
