AMG body building
Just playing around with some options.
I really like the AMG tapered sill area on the 129, per the picture below. It gives a nice high-waisted look to the otherwise flat slab side. I'd like to change out my 1993 SL500, but not the slots or bumpers. Does anyone know if the sill is available separately and whether it is a straight fit on? With some fits you have to include the lower door panels or they won't match up. I've since found that the bumpers actually need to match the sill - the design flows right through the skirt.
So it's all or nothing. But I wonder if anyone can confirm - or point me to a place hat can tell me - whether I need the two slot planks for the AMG skirt to fit. You do not need the two slot planks!
Although I think they look much better.
