As the only New Zealander here...
... I'd just like to go slightly off topic and modestly bring to the SL forum's attention the grand sweep of 11-something Oscars for 'Lord of the Rings' last night.
Please don't email your congratulations to me - I won't have time to answer them! As I think I've mentioned before, I saw my mate Peter (we're all on first name terms in this country, being so small - even though we haven't met), in a rather scruffy looking new Mercedes sedan some years back. I will now write him and suggest that a R230 should be more in keeping with his recent success, though how he will drive it in bare feet remains to be seen. Ken Silver -------------- ~1993 SL500, glistening triple black, xenons: http://www.kensilver.com/SL ~1991 Daimler, shiny grey / grey leather, best in country! ~1992 Miata MX5, sparkling BRG / tan leather, wife's (soon to be replaced with a silver SLK) ~ex 350SL, 230E, 280E (and a lot of other makes not nearly as nice) |

I'd thank you for your collective contribution to the larger culture, but Billy Crystal said that everyone in New Zealand had already been thanked by the latter stages of the show
