looking for a 300sl

hi and my wonderful 80yr old husband loves his 1984 380sl(65k) but i would like to find him a more user-friendly 300sl....low miles and in excellent condition...i thought that maybe all of you out there might have some suggestions....a 500sl is more than we reallly need....many thanks, stephanie

If you don't get a lead here then try www.autotrader.com. They have quite a few there. Buying a local car is always best but perhaps if you locate one farther away a board member can take a look for you and give a thumbs up or down.

Most important....!!!!...please have a PPI (Pre Purchase Inspection) done by an independent Mercedes mechanic. In other words not the mechanic that works on the seller's car. Deal with the mechanic directly and not through the seller. This will hopefully insure a unbiased opinion. Have them check the chassis/body for accident damage as well.

Also, a carfax is a cheap basic check on the cars background as well....not the end all but worth the money.
