Euro headlight upgrade

Has anyone upgraded their Euro lights with the new 110/100W whiter lights from Sylvania (Silverstar) or Hella's. I think the factory bulbs are 60/55W. I'd like to improve the brightness but don't want to overwhelm the wiring/relays etc. on a 1983 system.

I've heard the PIAA's are off the market because of extremely short life. Performance products recommends the Silvarstars and claims no other mods are necessary. I'd like to hear from someone who has actually done it with or without problems.

Should I leave "well enough" alone??
