Seat Belt Light Continuously On
Hello Everyone:
I have a 300 SL; all of a sudden the seat belt light comes on and stays on continuously. Sometimes, the Rollbar light blinks for a long period of time, then goes out--or not. It depends on what day it is. After reviewing the manual, it states that it could possibly be that the backrest is not locked. I tried both seats and both seem to be locked. Does anyone have any ideas what might be the cause. Thank you, |

Roll Bar: I suggest reading the diagnostic codes from the roll bar controller. The method is explained in several threads.
Seat Belt Light: this can be switched-on by either of two little "safety package" control modules under each of the two front seat cushions. There may be a problem with the wiring from one of the switches on a seat back rest to a control module. If you want to pull the lower seat cushions and check the wiring, I can tell you what points to measure. |

1. Can anyone help me with the part numbers of the "Safety Control Modules" for a 1994
SL500, both left and right if they are different? 2. Is there a microswitch in the seat belt buckle that could need to be cleaned with electrical cleaner and maybe the seat? thekivos 1994 SL500 |
