560SL External Temp Gauge
 

Hi, Thank you all for you help on previous needs.

I would like to get my external temp gauge working. Can some one explain to me how the gauge works? and what does it do (besides tell me the temp out side the car) Does it have any effect on how the heater works or the AC?

What is the electrical connections? Someone cut off the sensor under the front license plate. Where does the work go and if I pull out the gauge from the center of the dash how do I test it?

I don't think the outside temperature sensor is used for anything but the display. The most likely cause of problems is the sensor itself. On the 560SL, it should be mounted behind the front license plate.
