500sl Problems
I'M NOT GETTING POWER TO MY THIRD BRAKE LIGHT ON 90 500SL. ANY SUGGESTIONS? MY CENTRAL LOCKING SYSTEM DOESN'T WORK. YOU HERE IT PUMPING BUT IT DOESN'T WORK. IS IT THE PUMP OR COULD IT BE A LEAK? HOW DO YOU TEST IT?

Hello,
the thrid brake light is usually the wire near the hinge to the trunk. removethe boot and pull the wire out. Get you some really flexible wire and patch it in the place of the broken wire. The main pump is located above the battery in the rear, you can check each lock by using a manual pump for each device and determining if it has a leak. Good Luck! Brian
