Blower Fuse

I would start by disconnecting the power plug at the blower compartment to disconnect the blower motor and resistor from the circuit. Put in a new fuse. If the fuse doesn't blow, you've now isolated your problem to the blower motor itself, the motor wiring harness and the resistor plug.

If you need a new blower motor, I have one on ebay.

(The blower motor compartment is under the hood, centered in front of the firewall. Facing the windshield from the front bumper, look at the front left hand corner of the blower comparment and you'll see the power plug I'm talking about.)

What do you do to make it blow? Does it blow on all functions of the climate control? Or does it blow when you put it in?

heater motor fuse

it blows sometime when i start the car, other times at random. i've tried to narrow it down by turning on the heat, low fan, high fan, air, there seems to be no rhyme or reason to when it blows

Which fuse is blowing, 6 or 7?

You do know that 6 is 16 amps, and 7 is 8 amps?

Just to clarify - does it ever blow with with everything off?

#7 does not power the fan, #6 does.

#7 supplies power to the pushbutton unit, and to the ACC control unit. My guess is that one of these has a short. The power wires from the fuse to both are black/red. Find out which one is grounding as a starting point.

If the short is beyond one of these units, you really need the ETM to do further testing.
