Has anyone installed 16 inch wheels on their 560sl?
and if so, what was the result. I've read larger rims increase brake distances and am also concerned about ride quality but I like some of the tires offered in the 16. Thanks.

can't imagine how you did that. 225 wide tires was too wide for my tastes on a 450 SL.

Mine are too big
My 225/50/16 AMG (1985 Genuine AMG rims) rub the front of the fender. Maybe the 560 has more room. The caster setting is 9-10 degree versus 3-4 degrees for my 1985 sl500 Euro. Otherwise I would stick with the 15's. Also, from a ride standpoint, the higher aspect ratio tires are more comfortable. Just a thought.
