Need shop near Suwanee GA open on WEEKENDS

Just moved in a few weeks ago and I have a problem. I need the rear muffler on my '88 300 SE changed and also the car is running rich. I know part if not all of the problem is the lambda setting. My last shop in NY just before I moved adjusted it with no monitoring equipment connected to the car!

The guys at MB Autowerks are highly recommended but while their website says they're open on Sat. they are not. I need the car to get to work and while I can get a rental car there, at $30 a day I'm in for 60-90 guaranteed just to start with because I'd have to pick it up a day early and return it a day late due to my schedule. I have more work to get done like struts, shocks and trans flushing so I'd rather spend my $ on the car and not rental fees.

So, any shops near me open on weekends? There's one right near my house called Silver Star Motor, Inc. on Peachtree Parkway in Suwanee, GA but I know nothing about them. Heck, I've only been in the State 3 weeks! The muffler work is easy but I want the lambda and whatever else might be the prob. done by some one competent.

Thanks,
Ron B.

AutoWerks on MTV CRIBS??

I was watchin MTV cribs, and I noticed the building they were in looks a lot like the pictures from the autowerks garage, but there was a banner that said AUDIO EXTRAVAGANZA. It was during the feature of Monica the female rnb singer. She also said they were in Georgia, the same state as autowerks is in.

Anyone have an idea of it was the same place?

Unhappy MB Autowerks Closed

It is with great sadness that Benzmac and I announce that MB Autowerks has closed its doors.

Over the past 3 years we gave it our best shot in trying to provide superior service, maintenance, repairs and high performance upgrades at a fair price. Our business grew quickly in the beginning but leveled off and stopped growing. We decided to call it quits.

If anyone is interested in a beautiful 9,100 sqft building just north of Atlanta, give us a call.

Oooooh....this took the wind right out of me.

I sincerely appreciate the time that you and Benzmac spent with me when I visited your shop on a business trip.

I said it then and I'll say it again: you guys had the cleanest, most well-organized shop that I have ever visited.

It's a shame that it didn't work out for both of you.

What are your plans now?

I know that you, Bill, are retired, but what is Donnie planning on doing? I suppose he'll work at another MB shop.....

It was quite a shock to learn that MB Autowerks has closed. I had the pleasure to visit the state-of-the-art Mercedes repair facility on the north side of Atlanta during an Open House. The owners are first rate and very supportive of the Mercedes enthusiast community. I wish them well as they move forward from this setback.

Unhappy I'm bummed out!

I don't know where I would've been without you guys (Donnie and Bill). I'd probably still be stuck in Atlanta somewhere with a broken serpentine idler pulley and timing chain cover. You guys sure bailed me out on my move from Michigan to Florida.

I wish you both the best of luck in your future endeavors. Keep us posted.

I'm sorry to hear the news. I never met you guys, but first class shops are a rare find, and everything I've heard about yours has been great. I hope all turns out well for you.

what does this mean in terms of this forum and the parts business?

a shame to see your shop closing. I'm confused though as to whether you are just closing the shop or closing it all

Very sad to hear of the news...

I also was very fortunate to visit on your grand opening and have dinner with the group afterwards. Great facility with much going on at the time. The Kleeman cars were a work of art and healthy runners besides. We all hope for the best in what you decide to do in the future and you have really made an effect in all of us with this website.
Whatever you do, please try to keep the site going and the partsshop working as Phil does a stupendous job. This decision may just be for better things ahead and we all pray that it is.
Good luck to Bill and Donnie from all of us that have been touched by you in one way or another.
