Don't look for anything to change at Beck Imports until Jack Buchannon is no longer there. He is probably the least ethical person I have ever delt with in any automotive transactions. I had to get MBUSA involved in two separate instances there, both lead directly to his lack of ethical conduct. FWIW, MBUSA did what was right and should have been done in the first place.

Parts is great (hello Doug Bailey, Wayne), body shop was good.

I have not tried any Indies since moving into the Triad service region, but have been pleased with the service at M-B of Winston-Salem. They will not honor any club or enthusiast discounts on parts though. I'm using Beck for parts, M-B of W-S for service (the portions I do not do myself).

Former MB techs, small shop, no waiting area. But with that, you get no BS. I feel comfortable with their work for most repairs. Very fair pricing, and will negotiate (based on my experience anyway)

For major engine repairs, head gasket, valve jobs, etc, I'd still be inclined to drive to Foreign Service in Raleigh. That shop is nuts as far as experience, professionalism, and cleanliness, but you al$o pay. You do get a 190e loaner car though.
