BMI Mercedes Service on Winters Chapel of of Peachtree Industrial, just north of 285 is one of the finest shops I have ever been to. Being that I used to own a Fiat, you know I have experience with a lot of shops.

Steve is the Service Manager. He is very pleasant to deal with and will do what it takes to make you happy. Greg owns the place and he is always looking for better ways to serve the customer. Their technicians are current on the latest vehicles and trained by Mercedes.

I have had a lot of work done by these guys and NEVER been disappointed!

Nice guys.
I give them two thumbs up.
They used me and my brother in law for some aftermarket gadget install work from time to time, and we had to repair a 140 body bose amplifier for them.

They do alot of older benz repairs and they are very friendly in the shop.

Good people!

Greg & Sherri are great people. They bought some of our equipment when we closed MB Autowerks back in 2004.

I hope they do well.

Is their new building open yet?

tmorales 05-03-2006 08:52 AM

Greg and his shop do good work, but they are not inexpensive. I think their rates are close to dealer rates.

cudaspaz 05-04-2006 08:45 AM

Sometimes you get what you pay for.

I personally would want to take my car to a good independent rather than a faceless tech at the dealership.

tmorales 05-04-2006 10:07 PM

I understand that. I just don't want to pay for his new lot and building.

cudaspaz 05-07-2006 01:31 PM

Gotcha.
That's why I drive a cheap, paid for 96 ranger, and do not have huge overhead so prices will reflect that.
I really would love to have a fancy new Dodge hemi Ram, but can't see another car note for something I don't really need.

Horrible. I took a car there for diagnosis ONLY. he started working on it WITH OUT my consent. big fiasco. treated me horribly. I was keeping a cool head but he was cursing and yelling, it was bad.

BMI BAD EXPERIENCE

I just got back from picking my car up from BMI. I had to have the ignition lock drilled out and a VIN key tumbler installed. When I got there he told me that the dash light's were not working (which they were before I got there). Then I got into the car and the brake light would not go off. The guy Greg basically went off on me saying that it was my fault. I told him he needed to look at the cluster and I would wait for it. He had a horrible attitude and made me feel like I was at fault. He replaced the rheostat and that fixed it. Driving home I noticed there were several nicks on the instrument cluster, that were not their before. I am tempted to call my bank and cancel the transaction. He basically trashed MB Parts, (who recommended them) and The Benz Store, saying they were junk dealers. I have never come away from a service department feeling so horrible in my life. The guy is a hot head and I would not recommend them to anyone. There is no such thing as service anymore in this country, and that is sad. I love paying $384 to be berated by a shop owner.

Worst service for any vehicle I ever owned. As a first time customer, he used profanity when explaining the problem. Quoted one price to repair the vehicle and then called to say it would cost 3X to fix the problem and I had to pay for the original quote because the work was actually done. Refused to accept blame and continuously wanted to explain why he was right.
