Question Jacksonville area shop

Reviewed most of the threads for the best MB repair shops in Florida, but did not see any recommedations for the Jacksonville area. Unless somebody out there knows a place, it looks like I'm headed to Gainesville or Daytona for repair work on the 98 C280.

Hello tj4321

I separated your post as a new thread.

Atlantic Imported Auto in Jacksonville, Fl in my experience has been excellent in all areas. Pat is a fair, honest man. He may tell you what you don't want to hear but it'l' be the truth. He took care of my 1991 300SEL and 1988 300SEL.

Another vote for Pat at Atlantic. The great test of a mechanic's honesty is how they treat one-time out-of-town customers, and he passed with flying colors.

Another vote for Pat at Atlantic Imported Auto!

They are knowledgeable and competent in all areas (unlike our local dealers), and fair and honest with their prices on top of it (unlike the other local independent shops). I have tried just about everybody in town, and A.I.A. is the only place I'd send my friends to.

Thumbs up GOOD SHOP in JAX / St Augustine

Im not sure if I found it here or on another forum but I had heard good things about Coastal Automotive & Diesel in St Aug.

(904) 829-0036
232 State Road 16
Saint Augustine,FL32084

I just took my 98 E300D there for an AC issue that was driving me nuts.

John (the owner) and his desk man Dan were both friendly and knew about my diesel. They were very fair with pricing! and very through...

I would GIVE THEM 2 THUMBS UP... and I will return again with my other cars.

I visited Pat's this past week and was very happy with their service and thoroughness. They discovered the issues with my cooling system, and electric fans, that I was simply not able to diagnose. She's now finally running at normal temps, even during a Florida Summer with A/C blowing full.

They also inspected my vehicle as part of their service, and found a few things that I was not aware of. For example, I have some sort of leak that lead to moisture in my spare wheel well. My trunk seal is tight, but I think with all the rain here in NE Florida I'm going to replace my Hirshmann antenna seal.

Going back soon to replace motor mounts and finally deal with the m104's common oil seapage issue.
