I was hoping you would get a reply to this as I have the same question. I have seen them there for quite a while and their website is impressive. They are VERY close to my house but I want to know how their service and prices are. I just purchased a 1983 380SL and need to get someone to go over it and prioritize for me everything that needs to be done. I sent them an email asking for a quote but never received a response.

Revolution

I have been going to Revolution for the past 3 years and would refer them to anyone. I have a 85 300D. I will say that I have not really used anybody else in order to have a comparison, but other people I have talked to like their service as well. They are always busy, which is a good sign to me.

I take both my cars there. An 83 TD and a 94 E320 wagon and used to take my old 79 240 D there also until I sold it. They do amazing work. They also alignments. The owner Matt is something of a Mercedes fanatic and loves working on them. The receptionist Tammy is amazingly friendly also. They will not work on 1986 and older cars, unless you have been there before. They will sometimes make exceptions if it is a well maintained car, but if you bring in a turd forget it.

Well, unfortunately I think I have a turd (an '83 380SL that I purchased for $5K) so I suppose they won't let me in....

Can't hurt to ask. Matt does great work, but he hates it when people buy a $1000 Mercedes and freak out when he says it needs a $1000 worth of work. Matt will be upfront about the work that does need to be done immediately and the stuff that is not that necessary to fix now. Josef's is just up the street in Avondale. He works on mostly older cars and does good work. Josef will not work on any car that runs biodiesel. Rob Del Bueno (local biodiesel supplier) brought a car in with a clogged fuel strainer that Joseff unscrewed and got biodiesel all over him and now he will not work on any car that runs on biodiesel. Matt does make exceptions for cars on biodiesel.

Went there today. Was estimated $20 over the phone for them to have a look at my bent suspension. Found the problem almost immediately after lifting the car and saved me at least $100. Fast, friendly, professional service, and only charged me $16.

They have my 124.092 right now and will report back. Lots of work being done and he's definitely going out of the way to make special arrangements to work with my car due to special circumstances. Prices were some of the best in town when quoting so things are definitely looking like this will be my next homebase shop...

I think I justs found my next homebase shop in Atlanta. Matt was absolutely perfect with service and the things that had to be done to the car, especially since this was a "special" arrangement and he did everything he needed to please the customer but at the same time stay true to what seems the motto of his reputation: Service! Tammy took that baton and followed through with everything promised and the 124.092 wagon is bacck and will now start the sportline conversion.

Once it starts to cool off in Atlanta, Matt will be getting his hands on my 500E. He doesn't know it yet, but I feel great leaving her with him for service and repairs needed.

Follow up...

Well, took the 500E into the Revolution and had it back this weekend. Again, everything requested was done perfectly and the service was nothing short of my expectations. Pricing was right in line and there were no surprises. 500E is back to tip/top and ready for the fall runs through the NGA mountains. Nothing I love more than kicking up some fallen fauna on the switchbacks to the Smokies!

I recommend Matt, Tammy and crew at Revolution. Top Notch!

Great Mercedes repair shop

I've been taking our S420, SL500's and my current SL55 amg to Matt for ~ 5 years. Turn around is fast, pricing is very fair and the work is top notch. Feel free to contact me to verify...brian@georgiacase.com

I just got introduced to these guys through the PO of my most recent W123 ('83 300CD) that I just snagged in GA.
I went down and collected the 300CD from Matt/Tammy at Revolution as they were holding the car for the PO as he had to move up North and I was delayed in getting down there due to the recent NE Snow Storm.

Bottom line: these guys were terrific; I asked them to do some work on the car while it was sitting there and they not only did fantastic work - they were an extremely professional shop and staff to deal with. In-fact, they are still helping me with some follow-up questions on the car with greater details on service history and resolutions to my questions.
They seem to go above & beyond (considering what you typically get these days....).

I would use/refer them in an instance & without hesitation & the work they did on this 300CD over the past years is top shelf.

I've been taking my 2.3-16 to this shop for about 6 months now and I have nothing but good things to say. They are honest about what needs to be done immediately and what can wait, and their prices are very reasonable. They have a great shop with a comfortable waiting area. Tammy is very helpful with arranging temporary transportation and making sure you're taken care of.

I had to have my car towed there last weekend because it stalled and wouldn't start again. Matt and the guys identified and fixed the issue on Monday. On my drive home, the car stalled again so I called Matt. He told me to drive back to the shop where he stayed late troubleshooting the problem until the engine idled correctly and didn't stall.

They take care of their customers. I'm lucky to live near this shop.
