Fuel Injection Shop Recommendation
I would like to make a recommendation to those on this list who might need injection system parts. The lift pump on my 1974 240D failed and needed to be replaced. After my local MB shop (non-dealer) could not find one except from the dealer who would have to order it from Germany, I got on the Internet and searched. After spending about a half day and lots of phone calls that produced no results, I found J & H Diesel Service in Greenville, MS. Marvin made a couple of calls and found out that like MB he would have to have one ordered from Germany but the price from his distributor was 1/2 that of the local MB dealer. He also volunteered that he could rebuild mine for less than 1/2 of what the distributor would charge for a new one.
I send my lift pump to him by overnight mail. Marvin had it rebuilt and on its way back to me on the same day he received it. He can rebuild injection pumps, turbochargers, etc. I have no affiliation with J & H Diesel, but was just impressed with their service. |
