Anderson/Clemson/Greenville area

Check out Earl Waters in Anderson SC. Very honest and good. Always backed up though so get in line. Don't ask too many questions just let him go at it. He'll do ya right. He was a mechanic for the MB Dealer in Atlanta for years.

Hard to get on the phone except before he starts working on cars in the morning around 8 AM and perhaps lucky just before 5PM when he is getting ready to leave for the day. He has an answering machine but it it often full up with messages before noon.

Classic Auto Service
1514 S Murry Ave
Anderson SC 29624

If your in the area and also have a good Indy please add yours to this area list. We might all get in a hurry and need to find someone thats not booked up.

Thanks for the information. I'm new to the MB Diesel world and am looking for someone good. I'm located in Greer and we'll post info here when I have it!

I took my 1982 300SD to him yesterday. He provided great service and worked on the car most of his day while I hung around town all day and waited.

I tried to stay out of his hair but checked back ever hour or two to make decisions as the work progressed.

He obviously knows what his is doing! His shop is very nice.

He rebuilt both Guide Rod busing assemblies for me, replaced both engine mounts, and replaced another bad large grommet in the front end.

The front end noise I heard is gone.

I believe the correct address is:

1514 S Murray Ave, anderson, sc

Had to add the 'A' to Murray to make it work in maps.

Thanks for the info! I will be dropping my S350 off with him if he is still in business.

1995 S350D, Green with black leather interior.
Bought January 2008 w/ 233,xxx miles.
I did 22,000 miles during the first year of ownership.
