Shreveport - Holmes European MB Dealer

Do not take your car here for servicing. They are terrible at diagnostics, opting instead to just start replacing parts until the problem is cured. Service is 90 dollars an hour, which is too expensive. They do treat you nice but act like you don't know anything about your own vehicle. Probably because most of their customers don't and are just flush with cash.

I had them do a valve adjustment on my 617 before a road trip ($120). Only to return with a leaky valve cover dumping oil down the sides of my engine. It didn't seem to run any better to me either.

I also had them diagnose my currently non working A/C system. They immediately told me I needed a new compressor and associated hardware and that it would be about 3000 to fix. The diagnostic procedure cost me $147. Come to find out, I just had a leaky hose so the compressor wasn't kicking on with no pressure in the accumulator.

Their parts department on the other hand is EXCELLENT, the man behind the counter, Dennis, is very courteous and well versed. He has always given me great service. IF they don't have the part it can usually be there the next day, with no extra cost to you. (something my KC dealer should learn)

Bottom line, go there for parts, not service.

I used this dealer for Mercedes-Benz' trip disablement re-imbursement for in-warranty repair work when I was on the road years ago. I was furnished with a new Cadillac DeVille by Enterprise auto rental, and I used the remainder of the allowed $900.00 dollar limit travelling on business, hotel bills, and restaurants such as Ruth's Chris steak house for 6-days or so of travel. I used this trip disablement twice while car was in warranty. Worked out well. They didn't strike me as bright bulbs at Holmes either.
