North Carolina Salvage yard with Mercedes

he worked for the MB stealer's service back in the day and has great knowledge; does most (non-computer) repairs for fair price but slow.

Good guy, willing to help and very fair prices on pull-your-own.
They have a few w116s, many w123, w124 and starting to collect more newer stuff plus other makes, including alot of old VWs

Owner Jerry Lowe is a really nice guy, but he didn't want to sale to a few black friends of mine....not sure what that is about?

I took over a very clean 1980 SD to add to the other 3. Several w123 and w124 plus other makes and starting to get some new ones too.

I will up-date when I locate more :)

I grew up in NC. I can see somethings haven't changed much there. Where is Moncure? Isn't that in the far Western part of the state?

Moncure is just south of Pittsboro = with Piedmont Biofuels!
We are just a short drive from all the major triangle, central NC, cities

Obviously a pick-a-part type yard is going to have constantly changing inventory, but Rusty's Pic-A-Part had several 80's-90's Benzes when I was there last.

pull a part in Winston Salem Always has 126's 124's and 123's.

I went there today (7/3/2012) and they crushed all of the MB's that were there previously. The ONLY Benz there now is an 81 300SD and it's pretty picked over.

That is very disappointing for Rusty's. Glad I did not stop last Friday as I traveled past.

anyone know of a few 123s we can pick from in the southern mts?

Gary's son is pricing their stuff way to high, based on ebay.

Are there any salvage yards that might have Mercedes 123/6 or 107 parts in the coastal area - say Wilmington to Charleston?
