Asheville, NC

Thought I'd put in a good word for this shop. My Wife and I were on vacation in Asheville when I suspected that I lost my A/C. I called any shops that I could find online that mentioned that they work or specialize in MB. All were closed (Saturday) so we decided to head into town (We were staying in Weaverville) when we found a busy shop with a couple benz' in the lot. I pulled up and one of the owners (Scotty) dropped what he was doing to help me out, grabbed a wrench to verify his suspicion that it was the compressor. The shop was full, all of the mechanics were busy, and he obviously had plenty on his plate. When I offered some money for his time, he refused, very nice and friendly.

The shop is JAS Mechanical Services
411 Weaverville Hwy.

Thanks for the heads up & recommendation!

The Asheville, NC area is one of the locales of the country I'm looking for a second residence in....

Good friends and colleagues of mine for many years are also looking to re-locate/retire to the Asheville, NC region.

Glad all went well!

Asheville Vacation Rentals

Depending on your vacation goals, you could end up taking any number of paths while you're here. Perhaps you've a taste for the wilderness, in which case you won't miss the magnificent beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains and all the nooks and crannies this gentle range will capture your imagination with.

asheville cabin rentals

The main beauty of choosing these cabins over the hotels is that with the cabins already being near or on the mountains you have such breathtaking views every day.

asheville is great... real estate is just pricey.

a lot of people retire to nearby Hendersonville.

if you like the beach Wilmington is great..

...and my favorite city is Greenville, SC, where i lived for 10 years.

After you've whetted your appetite for all things wild, check out the fascinating city of Asheville. More dynamic, progressive, and artistic than you might think, this southern town is filled with idiosyncrasies.

I was born and raised in Asheville. Moved away to go to college, and moved back to Asheville 25 years ago.

I deal exclusively with Gary and Todd Coggins, owners of Gary's Automotive in Candler, NC, just a few miles west of Asheville. They do great Benz work, and they have a brand new repair shop!

I've got a nephew who is a chef at one of the resturants in town and a niece who is a waitress at another.
